My PhD explored the genetic connectivity and diversity of Antarctic marine amphipods, discovering numerous cryptic species and providing insight on current speciation processes in the Antarctic benthos.
Since then I have worked in marine conservation in Indonesia, investigated ocean acidification effects on benthic communities in Antarctica, and most recently worked as a soil remediation scientist for the Australian Antarctic Division.
My current work involves the incorporation of classic biogeography with modern molecular techniques, to resolve relationships among sub-Antarctic terrestrial invertebrates and shed light on the broad evolutionary processes that have led to the unique biodiversity in this region today.
