I am in my final semester of a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Zoology and Ecology. I am interested in the adaptive potential of invertebrates to climate change and how this research can influence conservation management. In the Chown Lab, I am assisting in the maintenance of springtail populations. Through volunteering as a research assistant I have gained invaluable lab skills whilst also seeing how an academic research lab operates. I’m hoping to apply these skills in my own post-graduate research looking at characteristics of prokaryotes in coral symbionts.
